When you return to vehicle, approach as a new walk up
Avoid committing any part of yourself to that vehicle, if they take off, let them go, do not reach in.
What are some cover disengagement considerations? Safety wise
- Inside police vehicle: reversing, shotgun to cover distance
- Beside police vehicle - not past front bumper, move back, rear, stack pillars
- B/w police and subject vehicle - no man’s land, move to cover
- Beside subject vehicle- b pillars
