A
Also call external auditory canal (EAC)
Two bends that help the protection of the ear drums
2-3 cm in length

Q

What is the range of Hz critical for hearing speech sounds?

A

Low frequencies: vowels are approx. 250-600Hz
High frequencies: fricatives are approx. 3000-4000Hz and are very soft
