What is the pathological process underlying Reynaud’s disease?
A
Spasm of digital arteries, usually precipitated by cold and relieved by heat.

What is the presentation of Reynaud’s?
A
- Skin pallor followed by cyanosis , triggered by cold.
- Numbness
- Burning sensation and severe pain as fingers warm up
- Redness secondary to hyperaemia

What is Buerger’s disease?
A
Inflammation of small vessels of lower limbs

Who gets Buerger’s disease?
A
Young men who smoke heavily.

How does Buerger’s present?
A
Severe claudication/rest pain
May lead to gangrene
