Land and sea fog Combine at the western straits with SE wind meeting the heavy SW swell makes a dangerous confused cross sea at the entrance of Juan de fuca. Rains a lot at entrance and heaviest from Dec-march often reduces vis below .25nm. All of these conditions combined at the entrance can be very dangerous
