Latest Annual GDP Growth- INDIA
According to the IMF World Economic Outlook (April-2021), India’s GDP growth rate in 2021 was projected at 12.55%.
They are ranked in 5th position out of 193 economies for GDP growth rate.
India is among 6 economies that will experience a double-digit growth rate in 2021.
With a 7.965% contraction in 2020, India is in the 150th position
Inflation Rate - INDIA
Inflation rate is defined as the rate at which prices increase over time, which results in a fall in the purchasing value of money.
In terms of monthly, consumer prices went up 0.94%, after a 1.43% increase in April.
The annual inflation rate in India increased to 7.79% in April of 2022, the highest since May of 2014, and above market forecasts of 7.50%.
Over the past years, the inflation rate for consumer prices in India moved over the past 60 years between -7.6% and 28.6%.
Unemployment Rate - INDIA
Unemployment Rate in India increased to 7.8% in April from 7.6% in March 2022.
In India, the unemployment rate is estimated by directly interviewing a large sample of randomly selected households.
Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Consumer Pyramids panel of households includes over 174,405 households including over 522,000 members who are over 15 years old
Fiscal balance (% of GDP)
For the revised estimates in the budget for 2022-23, the Indian Government forecast a higher fiscal deficit of 6.9% of the GDP or Rs 15, 91, 089 crore for the fiscal which ended in March.
