How to do breast exam
A
- inspect with patient arms by side
- then arms behind head (tenses skin)
- then hands on hips (tenses pec major)
- look for masses, scars, skin changes, peau d’orange, dimpling, nipple retraction, pagets disease
- then patient lays down
- inspect skin color, thickening, venous pattern and edema, areola pigmentation, nipple pigmentation, shpae, ulceration, discharge
- palpate nipple to axillary tail
- palpate axillary, supraclavicular and infraclavicular lymph nodes

A
-facial flushing, distended neck veins, inspiratory stridor and elevation of JVP upon raising patients both arms above his/her head
