RICS SKArating:
* Aims to be the standard measure of a building fit out sustainability with gold, silver, bronze award

Name one example of Government policy on energy efficiency for buildings?

A
  • Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) Regulations 2019 from 1 April 2019
  • Where energy efficiency improvement cannot be financed by third party funding, a landlord will only be able to lawfully let a domestic property of EPC rating of F or G if it has spent £3,500 on improvement works
  • Known as the cost cap subject to specific decisions under MEES
