• Sepsis: decreased expression of ABCB11 (this leads to bile acids not being able to exit the hepatocyte).
• IBD: ~32% of kids with IBD have increased transaminases. MRCP can often be abnormal, may have +pANCA or anti-SM. Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis can develop over time. Trend GGT, treat with Imuran, prednisone.
