Q

Blockchain

A

Shared database that cannot be changed and stores information in blocks linked together by cryptography, most commonly used as a ledger and in cryptocurrency. Typically, transactions are recorded in a decentralized and public database. Since the ledger in blockchain technology cannot be changed, it has become a popular choice for developing diverse applications, including ubiquitous computing. A simple example of combining blockchain with ubiquitous computing is having a smart fridge order milk and pay for it using blockchain technology without human intervention. NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are unique and cannot be replaced. They use blockchain
technology, but are designed to provide a proof of ownership of the digital product itself.
