A
- Iago telling Rodrigo he hates Othello as O promoted C to be lieutenant instead of him
- two men wake up Brabantio and tell him of marriage
- Roderigo offers to help B find the moor

A
- C arrives with a message from the Duke asking the senate to talk about the war in Cyprus
- B and R arrive with soldiers to arrest O for bewitching D

A
- B, O, C, I and R arrive at the senate and Brabantio accuses O of bewitching D
- O explains their love
- D is called for and admits her duty now lies with O and she asks to go to Cyprus
- I persuades R to go to Cyprus also- I explains his plans to the audience

- D drops her handkerchief and Emilia picks it up and I takes it from her telling the audience he will plant it in Cassio’s room
- O demands ocular proof- I pretends he hears C talking in his sleep about affair
- asks Iago to kill Cassio and plants to kill D himself

A
- D upset about losing handkerchief E pretends she knows nothing about it
- O asks for handkerchief
- I returns with C and goes to find O after he left upset
- Bianca arrives and Cassio gives her the handkerchief asking for her to make a copy

- O listens to I and C speak about D and C jokes about his relationship with B, B arrives with the handkerchief and O is convinced that C was laughing about his affair with D

- D enters with Lodovico with a letter from Venice telling O to travel home with D
