What further investigations might be considered in investigating for osteoporosis?
Coeliac serology if suspect malabsorption E2 LH FSH if suspect premature menopause Hypercotisolism screen 24 hour urine calcium and creatinine Bone turnover markers (CTX)
When should osteoporosis treatment be considered based on FRAX?
If 10 year risk of osteoporotic fracture is >20% at any site or >3% at hip
