history and physical. Confirm with x-ray, which will show joint space narrowing and dense subchondral bone.

When do you answer “knee replacement”?
A
when a patient develops severe symptoms, i.e., difficulty walking,
inability to perform ADLs, or bone-on-bone disease seen on x-ray.
