What are the clinical features of acromioclavicular oesteoarthritis?
(Pain) Well localised to acromioclavicular joint
(Movement restriction) High painful arc of between 170 to 180 degrees
How is acromioclavicular joint arthritis diagnosed?
(X-ray) With typical osteoarthritis findings (e.g. reduced joint space + bone spurs)
(MRI)
(Condition responds well to steroids)
What is the treatment for acromioclavicular joint arthritis?
(Conservative) Rest, NSAIDs, steroid injection
(Surgical) Resection of lateral end of clavicle
