what is osmosis
A
diffusion of water across of a selectively permeable membrane.

how does osmosis happen
A
Water moves so that the concentration of solute is equal on both sides of the membrane.
Water will move until equilibrium is reached.

concentration of solute inside the cell is lower than outside of the cell.
