What does OSHA stand for?
Occupational Safety and Health Act
OSHA was created to?
Assure safe and healthy working conditions for men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education, and assistance

What does the Hazard Communication Standard require?
-chemical manufacturers must classify the hazards of the chemicals, and prepare appropriate labels and SDS to convey the hazards
-chemical manufacturers must ensure that containers of these chemicals are labeled when shipped, and that SDS are provided with the first shipment
What is required of employers under HazCom standards?
-Employers must have labels and SDS for their exposed workers, and proper training to handle chemicals
-employers must have a list of workplace chemicals
