Headache Red Flags (SNOOP T)
A
- Systemic Symptoms -
Have you been experiencing fever, weight loss or neck stiffness (meningitis)?
Have you been diagnosed with any other medical conditions such HIV or cancer? - Neurologic Symptoms - Do you ever feel like you are confused or fainting?
- Onset - Is the headache extremely painful and comes on very suddenly (subarachnoid hemorrhage)
- Older - Has the headache been getting progressively worse overtime?
- Previous Headache History- Has this ever happened before? Is the pattern the same?
- Triggered Headache - Anything makes the headache come on?

A
- Feeling or Concerns - Is there anything in particular you are worried or concerned about?
- Ideas – You have any idea what is going on?
So, what do you think is the problem? - Function – How has this affected you or your daily activities?
- Expectations – Is there anything else you wanted to address?

Severe, throbbing, unilateral headache (not always on the same side) which may be preceded by an aura and last 5-72hrs
