OS1 - CPA 2 movements Flashcards
When assessing movements of the scapula, how are the angle of degrees assessed?
In a 1:2 ratio (60 degrees of scapular rotation, 120 degrees of humeral rotation when adducting).
How can the scapula move in rotating?
Upward rotation
Downward rotation
How can the scapula move in the upward and downward movements?
Upper traps and levator scapulae = Elevation
Lower traps and lower rhomboids = Depression
What is abduction and adduction of the scapula?
Abduction = protraction, serratus anterior
Adduction = retraction, rhomboids and middle trapezius
What is backward and forward tilt based on of the scapula.
The Superior part of the scapula, where the acromion process lies.
