16
Q

posterior drawer technique

A

Position: foot on table, knee flexed 60-90 degrees, hamstring relaxed

Movement: translate proximal tibia posterior on femur

17
Q

Knee valgus stress test technique

A

Position: supine, flex knee 15-30 degrees

Movement: provide valgus stress and push knee medially

18
Q

Knee varus stress test technique

A

Position: supone, flex knee 15-30 degrees

Movement: provide varus stress and push knee laterally

19
Q

patellar apprehension test technique

A

Position: supine w/ quad relaxed, flex knee to 30 degrees

Movement: push patella distal and lateral

20
Q

Apley’s Compression Test

A

Position: prone with knee flexed to 90 degrees

Movement: stabilize thigh and apply vertical compression thru heel while rotating tibia

21
Q

McMurray Test

A

Position: supine, leg in full flexion, one hand grasping heel/ankle and the other pushing medially on knee

Movement: externally rotate tibia and provide valgus stress, extend knee and return to flexion; repeat with internal rotation of tibia and providing varus stress

22
Q

Thessaly test technique

A

Position: stand on involved leg with knee flexed 5 degrees, hold clients hands

Movement: internally and externally rotate 3x

23
Q

Neer test technique

A

Position: seated

Movement: stabilize scapula and passively take UE into full shoulder flexion w/ humerus in internal rotation (palm out)

24
Q

Hawkins-Kennedy Test technique

A

Position: Seated, should in 90 degrees of flexion, slight horizontal adduction, maximal internal rotation (thumb down)

Movement: stabilize elbow and push down on forearm

25
Q

Empty can test technique

A

Position: seated, elevate UE to 30-45 degrees in plane of scapula with thumb down

Movement: push down on arm

26
Q

drop arm test technique

A

Position: sitting or standing

Movement: passively abduct shoulder to 90 degrees, pt should slowly lower arm to waist

27
Q

O’Brien’s test technique

A

Position: seated with UE in 90 degrees of elevation, 10 degrees of horizontal adduction, maximal pronation (palm out)

Movement: push down on forearm then supinate (palm in ) and push down

28
Q

Yergason’s test technique

A

Position: seated with shoulder in neutral, elbow flexed to 90 degrees, forearm supinated

Movement: push down so pt resists elbow flexion with supination

29
Q

Straight Leg Raise test technique

A

Position: supine with hip flexed, knee extended, internally rotated, dorsiflexed ankle

Movement: push bottom of foot toward face

30
Q

crossed straight leg raise test technique

A

position: supine
movement: raise the uninvolved leg, any pain in opposite leg?

31
Q

Tinel’s test technique

A

with hand relaxed, firmly tap over flexor retinaculum

32
Q

phalen’s test technique

A

maximally flexion of wrists so hands are in full contact with each other, hold for 30 sec to 1 min

33
Q

Finkelstein’s test technique

A

form fist around thumb, ulnarly deviate the wrist
