What are the two diagnoses not to miss in a limping child?
A
Infection (septic arthritis, osteomyelitis - tender at bone), SUFE

What are the symptoms/signs of SUFE?
A
Can be chronic and achy or present acutely
Look for
- Trendelenberg gait
- externally rotated foot of affected limb
- lack of passive and active internal rotation
