Transplant
Indications for canine transplant
Cannot get a result from exposure and traction
Potential damage to other teeth
Space available or can be made without XLA of premolar
Older patient seeking quick tx
Post-op managment of canine transplant

Titanium trauma splint
How to preserve the attached mucosa?
During exposure of impacted teeth, ensure a 3 sided flap is raised and placed apically and sutured
What happens during ortho treatment?
During ortho, planned movement of a tooth or teeth, cause reciprocal movement of anchorage teeth
Qualities of implant making it an ideal ortho anchor?

- Absolute anchorage as no PDL
- Easily used under a variety of tx modalities
- Easily placed
- Removable
What implants ares used in ortho?
Mini implant - TAD
Palatal mini implant
Why is corticotomy done?
To help reduce density of bone and facilitate tooth movement.
