Genesis contains two of what?
Two creation stories, both of which appear in its first two chapters.
What happens in Genesis 1?
God creates the universe ‘Ex Nihilo’ (meaning from nothing) and gradually adds to His creation over the course of 6 days before resting on the 7th day.
What happens in Genesis 2?
God has already created the universe but we find an explanation for how He creates life through the story of Adam and Eve.
In Genesis 1, what did God create on the first day?
Light/Day and Darkness/Night.
In Genesis 1, what did God create on the second day?
The Sky.
In Genesis 1, what did God create on the third day?
Earth, Seas and Plants.
In Genesis 1, what did God create on the fourth day?
The Sun, Moon and Stars
In Genesis 1, what did God create on the fifth day?
Sea Animals and Life.
In Genesis 1, what did God create on the sixth day?
Humans and Land Animals.
In Genesis 1, what does God do on the seventh day?
He rests
