SFLC (Software freedom Law center)
SFLC.in is a donor-supported legal services organisation that has united lawyers, policy analysts, technologists, business professionals, students and citizens to protect freedom in the digital world since 2010. In discussions of technology where Industry and Governments have representations, we endeavor to present the rights of Indian citizens. We fight the good fight in keeping the Internet open, secure and safe for all.
Our objective is to help Indian policymakers make informed and just decisions in the use and adoption of technology for production of pro-humanity IT.
We promote innovation and open access to knowledge by helping developers make great Free and Open Source Software, protect privacy and civil liberties of citizens in the digital world. This is achieved through education, original research, policy engagement and provision of free legal services.
In special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC), SFLC.in is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, operating all over India.
KIFA (Kerela Independent farmers Association)
KIFA is a Kerala based voluntary organization active in issues related to agriculture and farmers. KIFA is determined to interfere on behalf of the exploited and marginalized farming community of Kerala and utilize all lawful routes to find solutions to their problems.
It functions as a non- governmental organization and is neither affiliated nor connected to any political, religious, and ideological entities.Possessing empowerment, service, and expressive orientations, it’s a private initiative constituted for public good.
IEA (International energy association)
The International Energy Agency (IEA) is an independent organization that helps countries create a sustainable energy future. The IEA was established in 1974 to help coordinate a response to potential oil supply disruptions.
What does the IEA do?
Provides data and statistics on energy policy, energy efficiency, and the energy sector
Supports the use of clean energy technologies
Offers policy recommendations, analysis, and data on the global energy sector
Helps countries provide secure and sustainable energy
Coordinates the deployment of national energy and environment policies
IEA membership
The IEA has 31 member countries and 13 association countries
These countries represent 75% of the world’s energy demand
India joined the IEA as an Association country in 2017
WEF stands for World Economic Forum,
an international organization that aims to improve the world. It is a non-governmental organization (NGO) and think tank that is based in Switzerland.
What does the WEF do?
The WEF engages with leaders from business, politics, academia, and other sectors of society.
It shapes global, regional, and industry agendas.
It lobbies for public-private cooperation.
It is known for its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, at the end of January.
IESA (India Electronics & Semiconductor Association)
The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) is a premier industry body that represents the interests of the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem in India. It plays a vital role in shaping policy, promoting investment, fostering innovation, and building a strong domestic industry in the electronics and semiconductor sector.
Industry Advocacy
IESA works closely with the Government of India and state governments to develop policies and initiatives that support the growth of the electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) sector.
It provides inputs on policy matters such as semiconductor manufacturing, electronics exports, R&D support, and investment incentives.
- Promotion of Innovation and Startups
The association supports startups, SMEs, and innovators by connecting them with funding opportunities, incubation programs, and technical expertise.
It encourages entrepreneurship in areas like fabless design, embedded systems, and IoT.
