What is a Tall Organizational Structure?
A tall Organizational Structure is when there are a number of positions between the employees working on the ground and the leaders at the top
What is a Flat Organizational Structure?
A Flat Organizational Structure is when there are only a few positions between the employees working on the ground and leaders at the top of the organization

What is a functional Organizational Structure?
A functional structure divides the company based on specialty (e.g- sales department, marketing department)
What is a Divisional Organizational Structure?
A Divisional Structure is when companies structure leadership according to different products or lines they carry.
What is a Matrix Organizational Structure?
A Matrix Organizational structure is when employees have multiple bosses and reporting lines
What is a Hybrid Organizational Structure?
A Hybrid Organizational structure is when the power and decision making is spread across multiple positions

What is Decentralization?
-daily operations and decision making, responsibilities are decided by lower management or lower level employees
What is an Alternative Work Structure?
-gives employees the freedom and flexibility to handle their own time versus a set office schedule
What is Enrichment
-an approach to job design that is based on the assumption that is in order to motivate personnel, the job itself must provide opportunities for achievement recognition, responsibility, advancement and growth.
Job Sharing
-two people are hired on a part-time or reduced-time basis to perform a job normally fulfilled by one person working full time
Contract Work
-employment involves hiring a person for a specific job under particular terms for a fixed period of time
