Two or more people who collaborate to perform tasks to achieve a goal
What is the interest group in a organization ‘?
Owner, employee, customers, supplier, creditors
What’s the two types of organization distinguish between ?
Formal and informal structure
What is an formal organization structure?
Formal system such as a map. This is the most common structure in organizations. There is a clear system of the distribution between tasks and duties. Newcomers are in most cases introduced to the companies values, missions etc and getting help to understand their place in the organization.
What is informal organizational structure?
More a organization without a specific leader. Newcomers observe and participate. They learn thought active engagement, observing others and collaborate
What is a function based division?
Divided intro specific groups that work on their special field. For example sales, marketing, HR department etc
What is the positive and negative side of function based procurement?
Positive= specialization in different fields, avoiding duplicated work
Negatives= large parts may be unresponsive to customers, maybe collaboration problems
What is positive and negatives with market based division?
Positives= everyone serves the same product and working on the same
Negatives= double work, no sharp skills or specialization in the organization
What is the difference between centralized and decentralized structure ?
Centralized = CEO is the main man responsible for the decisions. Lower level employees have very little authority
Decentralized= teamwork is prioritized and more democratic approach is taken. Employees have more freedom to share ideas and opinions
