What is an organisation?
Collections of people brought together for a purpose. To achieve this purpose successfully, people need to be organised within the best possible structure. Decisions on structure are primarily strategic decisions. Structure can make or break an organisation.
Structure
Pattern of relationships among positions in the organisation and among members of the organisation. Structure makes possible the application of the process of management and creates a framework of order and command through which the activities of the organisation can be planned, organised, directed and controlled.
Empowerment
Giving employees greater freedom, decision making responsibility, autonomy and control over their own work.
