6
Q

steps to name a branch chain

A
  1. find longest chain of hc
  2. number the chain in a way that the place of the substiuents adds up to the smallest number
  3. use the proper prefix for the parent and the seperate substiuents
  4. put substituents in alphebetical order, ignoring prefixes
  5. proper punctuation: commas seperate numbers, hyphens seperate numbers and words NO spaces in final answer
