A style of stereoisomerism, that occurs as a result of chirality in molecules, limited to molecules with a single chiral centre

A
Optical isomers that exist as non superimposable mirror images and differ in their effect on plane polarised light

What is a racemate/racemic mixture?
A
A mixture containing equal amounts of enantiomers (does not rotate plane polarised light- optically inactive)
