A friend, in your church, believes that God is telling her to go on an extended missions trip to country where Christians experience severe and often violent persecution. She is married, with three young children between the ages of 3 and 9. She asks your opinion. How would you respond?

According to Hebrews 13:17, to whom and for what are elders “accountable”? Why is that important to other believers within the church?
Elders are accountable to God, and must give an account to Him. Thus, believers should obey and submit to them.
According to Scripture, what are the defining characteristics of a “false teacher”? Would you distinguish between a “false teacher” and a teacher who has erred on a particular issue? If so, how? If possible, cite two examples.
