Aka, retinochoroidal collaterals
Dilation of the peripapillary retinal circulation that drains into the choroidal circulation
Due to chronically poor drainage of the CRV
Ddx: optic nerve sheath meningioma, low-grade optic nerve glioma, chronic papilledema, chronic glaucoma, and old CRVO
