maxillary bone, palatine bone, orbital plate of zygomatic bone
What do the infraorbital groove and canal transmit?
infraorbital artery and maxillary division (V2) of trigeminal nerve
What is/are the surgical landmark(s) for the superior extent of medial wall surgery?
the anterior and posterior ethmoidal foramina
What passes through the superior orbital fissure?
CN III, IV, VI; v1, sympathetic nerve fibers, and superior ophthalmic vein (drains into cavernous sinus posteriorly)
What passes through the inferior orbital fissure?
v2 (splits into infraorbital n. and zygomatic n.) and branches of infraorbital vein
Which orbital wall does not extend to the orbital apex, and what is the termination of this wall?
orbital floor; terminates at pterygopalatine fossa
