The APR system is armed during Takeoff when
Weight off Wheels APR switches are armed Engine speed switches are selected on Both DCU's are operating On T/O roll above 79% RPM APR is activated for five mins. APR system monitors N1 RPM of both engines. If RPM of 67.6 or less is detected APR automatically commands both engines to increase N1 speed, only the operating engine will increase. Increases thrust to 9220 pounds of thrust (approx 2%)
