Patient can’t lie back for long periods of time.
Elevate right hip so lying more on left hand side so don’t compress the vena cava
what shouldnt you use if a patient is breastfeeding?
amalgam and articaine
why is giving OHI important postpartum?
important as they can pass on good habits to child
is PMPR safe postpartum?
yes
remember in 4th trimester and breastfeeding
patient is tired and has less time for self care
Prevention out the window and toothbrushing disrupted
Get a true representation of their oral health and standards
what is a pregnancy epulis?
Red/purple swelling, readily bleeds/ulcerates, usually regresses after birth
Reassure patient its normal and should go away on its own postpartum
