Communication
The process of exchanging information, ideas, thoughts, and feelings between individuals or groups.

The person or entity initiating the message
Sender
The information, idea, or emotion being conveyed.
Message
The medium through which the message is transmitted (e.g., verbal, written, non-verbal).
Channel
The person or entity receiving and interpreting the message.
Receiver
The response or reaction from the receiver, completing the communication loop.
Feedback
Environment in which the communication occurs, influencing its interpretation.
Context
Any interference or distortion that may disrupt the communication process.
Noise
Functions to control behavior
Regulation / Control
Allows people to interact with others to develop bonds or intimacy
Social Interaction
Persuades or Encourages another person to change his/her attitude, and behavior
Motivation
Facilitates people’s expression of their feelings such as love, fear, anger, and joy
Emotional Expression
Functions to convey information. It can be used in giving and getting information
Information
Process of expressing the idea into appropriate medium. Sender may put the message into symbols, words, gesture
Encoding
External factors such as loud sounds, poor lighting, or any physical disturbance that hinders communication.
Physical Noise
Differences in interpretation of words and symbols, including language barriers, jargon, or unclear terminology.
Semantic Noise
Mental distractions or emotional factors that affect the ability to comprehend or interpret a message.
Psychological Noise
Biological factors, such as illness, fatigue, or sensory impairment, that impede effective communication.
