A type of speech context that centers on one person. In which where the speaker acts as both sender and receiver.
Intrapersonal
A communication between and among people and establishes personal relationship between and among them.
Interpersonal
What are the two divisions of Interpersonal speech context
DYAD
SMALL GROUP
Under interpersonal, this occurs a conversation between two people.
DYAD
This is a conversation within 3-12 people.
SMALL GROUP
This is a type of speech context in which it is to be delivered before of infront of a group. This message can be informational or persuasive.
Public Communication
A type of communication through radios, tvs, magazines, books, and other types of media.
Mass Communication
Dictates and affects the way of people communicate, which results in various speech styles.
Speech Style
It is private, which occurs between or among close family/friends.
Intimate
Common among peers and friends. Jargon, slang, or vernacular language are used.
Casual
This style is a standard one. It is the professional or mutually acceptable language.
Consultative
This style is used in a formal setting. This speech style is one-way.
Formal
This speech style is in where it remains unchanged. For example the preamble, national anthem, prayers from the bible.
Frozen
It refers to saying something with a certain meaning in traditional sense. Simply put, it is the actual act of uttering.
Locutionary Act
It refers to the social function of what is said. In other words, it is the act that must be performed as stated. The illocutionary force is the speaker’s intent.
Illocutionary Act
It refers to acts that creates an effect on the feelings, thoughts, or actions of either the speaker or listener; it is the resulting act of what is said.
Perlocutionary Act
It is a method of communication that separates humans from animals.
