A

dental formula of a puppy: 2 (I 3/3 C 1/1 P 3/3) = 28
dental formula of a kitten: 2 (I 3/3 C 1/1 P 3/2) = 26
dental formula of an adult dog: 2 (I 3/3 C 1/1 P 4/4 M 2/3) = 42
dental formula of an adult cat: 2 (I 3/3 C 1/1 P 3/2 M 1/1) = 30

* symmetry
* lymph nodes, salivary glands
* Intra-oral
* general oral view
* occlusion
* specifics

Q

what is peridontitis?

A

happenes when nothing is done about gingivitis:
Loss of attchment of the peridontal ligament, scored via attachment loss pattern:
* Periodontal pocket (mm)
* Gingival recession (mm) ( from gingeva to cementoenamel junction CEJ)
* Furcation involvement (F0-F3) (1/3 of thinkness of tooth =1, all the way under tooth =3)
* Mobility (M0-M3) (M0=tiny movement, M1 -1mm, M2 = >1mm, M = loose)
