You’re not the ones mining, You haven’t given us anything yet! (Turns around, tone increasingly angry)
J: Honestly the work ethic in this space is depressing (Puts hands in ‘stop’ gesture). I need to go take a walk. Maw (Points at Sadie), you’re in charge, Don’t let them slack off. (Jess walks out of square)
S: coughs I mean HELP you mine all that mineral. Whispers That hurt, Pum. We have come to make a deal, that will help both our tribes.
J: We know that food has been hard to find lately and we will give you and your tribe trade lines for food free of charge, in return for some of your Johwl, the mineral. Do we have a deal?

(J hands document to sign, ot’s sign)
J: Great.
M: I-I’ve been mining so much my hands a-are blistered, I’m exhausted! This is not what we thought we would sign up for, this isn’t sustainable or moral.
J: (comes up to Z+E+M who are mining) Hey guys. Have any of you found any johwl yet?
Z: But our land will be destroyed, there’ll be nothing l-left.
J: Well, you remember the deal. If you work a little harder, maybe you can find it! And then we will reward you with your food, promise.
M: I’m sorry but-
J: (Hands up in stop gesture) Hey- there’s no time for talking now is there? If you want to be able to mine the johwl, quiet down.
SCENE
J: Maw I’m worried, the Op-Tapi’s aren’t finding enough Johwl fast enough. I don’t understand why they want the johwl so much anyway, is it really that valuable?
E: And that’s how I got roped into this mess. (falls over)
J: She’s the one.
E: Might I still have t-to mine?
J: Not anymore, Chen. You will work with us.
(Moves hands up and across as if imaginary sign, S and J looking up as well)
J: Really?
E: No. I just need to look at their faces, they’re exhausted and heartbroken.
J: You better have them find Johwl soon or…
Z: Or what?
J: Or the Topi-topi’s will be furious, we can’t go back to our tribe without Johwl.
(Mining, S and J walk in)
J: Guys, you aren’t finding anything here, we think there is an area where the Johwl is rich and plentiful. It’s called the Qonos
E: A few days later.
J: Guys, we’re really sorry about how this went down, we never wanted to hurt you and we just wanted the resource. We didn’t understand it was hurting the environment.
