16
Q

How is the planning minima worked out for alternate aerodromes that have two available approaches to separate suitable runways?

A

Add:
- 200ft to the higher applicable DH/MDH (least restrictive approach)
- 800m to the higher of published visibility or RVR
(two least restrictive)

17
Q

When determining suitability of weather for ERAs what validity period shall be used?

A

60min before to 60min after ETA

18
Q

What is an ETP?

A

An ETP is a point along the route that is at equal distance between two ERAs.

19
Q

What minimum weather needs to be present before being able to depart to an isolated airport?

A
  • Minima for filing as alternate
  • Crosswind below aircraft and crew limits
  • PROB/TEMPO/INTER above minima for filing as alternate
20
Q

What would you do if the weather at the destination airport indicates below landing minima?

A
  • Nominate two alternates
  • Both alternate weather above filing as destination alternate weather
  • Enough fuel for more distant alternate
  • All alternates need to be specified on flight plan
21
Q

What weather minima shall be used after dispatch for any airport?

A

Landing minima shall be used after dispatch to assess the suitability of any airport en-route.
