What are the different types of fibres that transmit pain?

A

Ad fibres are fast-transmitting pain fibres
Convery sharp pains
C fibres convey slow pain (burning character)
Non-myelinated so transmission is slower
Both types of fibre synapse on 2nd order neurones in dorsal horn of spinal cord
