Approaches

A

Business process re-engineering: Radical redesign to achieve dramatic improvement. Measure performance. Lean, flow, customer-focus etc. all contribute to BPR concept

Total quality management(TQM): Improvement covers the whole organization.

Six Sigma: Deliver products when promised with no defects for customer satisfaction. Eliminate defects by tight design specification. Specification range should be +-6.
