a) ID’s air contacts and reports them to the ADWC
b) Uses IFF to identify air contacts within CVN operating area

a) 5 Modes: Platform, Positive ID, Mission, US Military, Altitude
ATM
Auto Tack Manager
a) Same as IDOP but can manipulate radars
(Make them less or more sensitive due to weather, sea return, etc.)
Strike Controller
a) Manned during flight ops
b) Checks aircrafts IFF modes, safety lights
c) Controls briefs alerts aircraft
d) SURFACE TRACKER
e) Tracks surface contacts
f) Works in Sea Combat and in Top

a) Acts as the liaison b/w the bridge and CDC
b) Primarily responsible for Surface Tracking
c) Located behind the bridge on the 09 level, near DDRTs

Correlates lookout information on surface and air contacts to determine target’s course, speed and CPA
EWS
Electronic Warfare Supervisor
a) Works in EW Mod.
b) Overall in charge of EW mod.
c) Supervises the collection and display of all EW information and rapid dissemination of all threat emitters
d) Assumes the role as EWCS

Electronic Warfare Control Ship
a) correlates EW by organic or non organic sensors assigned to the Strike Group
