Air Ops and Carrier Controlled Approach
AirOps five positions
Air Ops Officer, Assistant Air Ops Officer, Air Ops Supervisor, Land/Launch, Plotter.
Carrier Controlled Approach positions
Departure Control, Marshal Control, Approach Control, Final Control
Departure Control
Transfer of control to CDC and responsible for monitoring the location and package status of tanker aircraft, location of low-state aircraft and their fuel requirements.
Marshal Control
responsible for the control of inbound aircraft during Case I, II and III operations. the first aircraft is placed 21nm behind the ship and at altitude starting at 6000 feet
Approach Control
Responsible for the control of aircraft on approach during case II and III. Control is provided between hand off from Marshall and transfer of control to Pri-fly during case II. Maintaining the appropriate interval and ensuring the first aircraft make the ramp time.
METOC(Meteorology and Oceanography)
collects, interprets and disseminates weather information

3000 ft and 5nm
Case II
1000 ft and 5nm
Case III
Below 1000 ft or 5nm (30 mins after sunset and 30 before sunrise)
