How does PERT work?
Pert supervisors review all outstanding calls in all divisions.
If applicable PERT supervisors will add comments documenting if they will take it or not and if so, who is assigned.
Once assigned the PERT constable speaks to The CO/RE and will generate a file number to complete their investigation. PERT remains as member in charge.
Does the OSM ever assign calls to PERT?
NO! They need to stay in there lane!
What does the OSM do when dealing with a service vehicle collision or property damage as a result of Eps action?
Notify the DO/watch commander.
Respond to the scene and in consultation with the DO, determine whether MCI you or the OSM should conduct an investigation.
If you require a COE contractor, DO approval is required.
Ensure eCLAIMS report (formally ICOL) Is submitted for the SVC & DVC.
Ensure the investigation of the incident is documented and complete it via the Coridy Portal in the event of an injury to the member.
If the investigation stays with patrol the OSM made deli-gate To a qualified supervisor or constable who is not involved.
OSM must check the investigation for completeness and thoroughness and redirect back to them if required.
Forward the completed investigation to the WC.
If a constable is assigned to investigate a SVC, what qualification is preferred?
