Opening Questions for Requalification Flashcards
What is the Release Policy?
We are the stewards of our pipelines, facilities and the communities around us, entrusted by the public to operate in a prudent and responsible manner. Each employee has the responsibility to:
- Prevent Releases, and
- Minimize the size and consequence of a release
There are no responsibilities that take precedence over the protection and safety of human life or the prevention of potential damage to property or the environment.
In emergency conditions, such as the treat of an accidental release, the Controller has full responsibility to promptly investigate and full and independent authority to shutdown and isolate pipeline systems under his/her control.
