What is the Summer Travel Program about?
A learning opportunity where students travel with MICA faculty to centers of contemporary art and design, to enhance their art- making, and connect with other artists.

What is the Pre-College Program about?
Pre- College is an Art and Design Residency Program, which is an intensive college level experience. All classes are college level and the student has to complete the curriculum to receive college credit.
Students will have a set schedule which includes, breakfast, class, breaks dinner, workshop, field trips, and activities.
During the program they visit working professionals, learn how to develop their portfolio, and dramatically expand their creative skills.
What are the application requirements for Pre- College?
- Complete applications must be submitted through Slideroom.
- Must include a portfolio of 6 images of students work
- Unofficial high school transcript
- Student must be entering their junior or senior year
- If applying for financial aid- must include parents recent tax return and 2 paystubs
- Non refundable app fee is $50
How can International Students apply for Pre-College?
- International students must be in the equivalent grade level
- Must have the appropriate visa
- Proficiency in the English language
- Health Insurance while attending school
What are the three program options for Pre-College?
5 weeks- can earn 3 credits- $6300
3 weeks- can earn 2 credits- $4050
2 weeks- can earn 1 credit- $2810

Are there scholarships for the Pre-College Program?
Yes, if you would like to be considered for scholarship it is apart of the application, have to submit parents tax return and 2 recent paystubs.
When is the Pre- College Deadline?
4/30/2019

- Wide range of programs for young people to grow their skills
- Course are offered during the school year as weekend Art classes and during the summer as Summer Art Camp
- In Fall and Spring, classess meet on Saturday morning or afternoons. In Summer, classes meet Monday- Friday with morning and afternoon options
Summer Art Camp
Information on our camps can be found at mica.edu/yps
They will be at two locations, MICA and the St. Paul campus.
There is an early summer session, late summer session and three regular sessions. Before and After care is available during the regular sessions.
