What are the two types of revelation?
General and specific
What do we mean by the “inerrancy of Scripture”?
The Word of God is without error.
What do we mean by “free will”?
Free will is the freedom and power to will and to do what is pleasing to God.
What does “justify” mean?
Justification is a one-time act of God’s free grace in which He pardons us and accepts us as righteous in His sight through Christ’s righteousness.
What is adoption?
Adoption is a one-time act of God’s free grace through which we are received into God’s family with all the rights as sons of God.
What is sanctification?
Sanctification is an ongoing work of God’s free grace to renew us after God’s image and to progressively mortify our lusts and quicken us to holiness.
Can a true believer lose his salvation? Explain.
No, a true believer cannot lose His salvation because salvation depends on God, not on the believer.
What do we mean by “union with Christ”?
Believers are united to Christ by His Spirit and by faith, having fellowship with Him in His graces, sufferings, death, resurrection, and glory.
How are baptism and circumcision related?
Baptism and circumcision were given as ordinances through which one is set apart to God and initiated into a covenant relationship with Him. They were to be administered once only to believers and to their children.
