- In any doubt as to ship’s position
What are the supplementary occasions for calling the CO? (As required by SSO, CSOs, Night Orders)
- Navigational: CPA <2nm within 10nm; altering course to avoid danger; altering course for nav plan; off track distance as laid down in CSOs; receipt of a distress signal; failing to detect light/land when expected
- Operational: sighting warships not in company; signal for station change
- Weather: significant changes in the weather
- Other: sunset report; emergency situations; if in doubt
