Hodgkin’s lymphoma definition
A
Malignant proliferation of lymphocytes.
With the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells

Hodgkin’s lymphoma histology classification
A
- Nodular sclerosing (most common): good prog.:more common in women || associated with lacunar cells
- Mixed cellularity: good prog. || asso. large no of reed-sternberg cells
- Lymphocyte predominat: best prog.
- Lymphocyte depleted (rare): worst prog.

A

B sx:
o Night sweats
o Weight loss >10% in last 6M
o Fever >38C -
Other:
o age > 45 years
o stage IV disease
ohaemoglobin < 10.5 g/dl
o lymphocyte count < 600/µl or < 8%
o male
o albumin < 40 g/l
o white blood count > 15,000/µl
