What does it mean when a company is incorporated in Delaware?

Deleware corporations are companies that are legally registered in the state of Delaware but can conduct business anywhere.

Roughly half of the companies listed on the S&P 500 are incorporated in Delaware because it is perceived as being business friendly.

My company is incorporated in Deleware. Is that the filing address?

Answer 2

No. Use the company address that is registered with the IRS. It can be found on Form 941 (for existing customers) and SS-4 for new customers
