Describe your choice for a difficulty index for 3rd molar extraction and why you use it?
Pederson’s Difficulty Index
I find it marries up well with how difficult I find extractions, I like how it mirrors the pell and gregory anatomical classification of 3rd molars. Simple.

Describe the anatomical classification you would use for the impacted canine and what the likelihood of spontaneous eruption would be for the classificaiton?
Warfard (2003)
95% will erupt spontaneously in class I
60% in class II
17% in class III
0% in class IV

Classify the eruption disturbances.
Primary retention - cessation of eruption before emergence & no impaction
Secondary retention - cessation of eruption after emergency & no impaction
Impaction - The result of a physical barrier in the path of eruption
