In the event of a death in flight the Commander must advise the relevant ground authorities, through ATC, of the State’s airspace in which the death occurred and also the destination State’s authorities, if different, when enteringtheir airspace.

The commander must complete a report which records the name of the deceased person, nationality, the time of the death, location and registration of the aircraft. One copy of this report is to be given to ground authorities at destination and another to the director of the flight operations.
